Absolutely Good News!!!
***Our first annual meeting resulted in the election of the existing board of directors, ratification of the association bylaws, and a list of concerns the association presented to our newly elected councilman. Everyone's input is the most valueable asset to the association in this stage of development. Please feel free to join the discussion in the SEHOA forum to keep the lines of communication open. We will soon have our first meeting that councilman Voisin will be able to attend. Please check often for the date and time.***
*** For those who don't know, the oil company that owns the 4 acre drill site is actively drilling in the area and could possibly drill a well in the middle of our neighborhood. If you object to this, please join our forum and voice your opinion. We need to prevent this at all costs. The only way to do this is to unite. Together we can accomplish anything!!! ***
The 4 was stop at Sugar Highland and Routhland has been established. Hopefully this will help with speeding problems in Sugarwood Estates.
Not So Good...
Our entrance landscaping is still in need of our attention. We will complete the island area once we have sufficent funds. Membership is growing daily!
There are several places our curbing and street is in need of repair. Work orders have been issued.
We have broken street lights and knocked down sign posts. The parish replaces these with galvanized posts instead of the original ornamental type. Work orders have been issued.
Drainage problems also have been noticed lately. This needs to be addressed ASAP!!! Long term drainage plans are currently being evaluated.
Empty lots need to be kept cut and cleaned.
Speed limits need to be better enforced. The 4 way stop has been established.
We don't have a designated recreation area for our children to play.
Residents have been ignoring restrictive covenants.
